when i first picked up phoenecia's odd jobs, the autechre mix was the least impressive to me. last night, however, i was listening to the cd while driving around suburban hell, and the mix really just hit me hard. it is INSANE. i am not sure what i was missing before -- or maybe it was that i was expecting something more fun and silly (the original song is quite fun and absurd -- absurd being a good thing). fans of more difficult beats (i don't know of a better description - but stuff like phthalocyanine's original "vints") should definitely check this mix out. the funny thing is, the "two of" song by gescom was my least favorite track on the 0161 compilation -- and now it has grown to be one of my fave all time electronic songs. hmm.. chris. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
